Right. So I don't think that we are going to be watching quality television like those two lovely ladies were, but I think we can manage to drum up some decent television - and we'll make sure that no male lion-penguin crossbreeds stamped "property of the zoo" can sit on top of the TV and consequently blow up. And if we see one we'll dump it in one of the boy's rooms. Or my half of the room. Whichever, it wont make a visual difference.
As a very wise young man once wrote, "You did take a very long time to say very little." I think that sums up this situation and the whole of my blogging career very well. Anyway, I thought I may provide a list/schedule of the television that we will be taking the opportunity to watch. And by we I mean myself and others that care to join me, so some shows will not be included, and there is an addition to the fall lineup that I WILL be hitting up.
Monday
How I Met Your Mother - I think we could all go with another season of Ted whining, Lily making me want to stab her, Barney and Robin being ridiculous, and Marshall being awesome. At least that's how I sum it up.
True Blood - New episodes come out on Sundays, so I declare Monday after How I Met Your Mother: True Blood watching time. Anyone who does not want to see fucking should probably go elsewhere.
Wednesday
So You Think You Can Dance - Usually only on in the summer, SYTYCD is having a fall season. My favorite thing about this show is that it is a dance show first, and a reality show second. Thus, the dancing is amazing, the judges are a little wacky, but it blows American Idol out of the water never to come back again. You guys will love it. I hope.
I know it's not the most widely-accepted dance but it's probably my favorite one ever.
Glee - Since SYTYCD is usually 2 hours long, and Glee is on at 9, I was worried that these two might overlap - but they're on the same network. So. Either Fox is fucked or we're fine. And besides the AWESOME version of Don't Stop Believing this show looks wicked fun. And the cheerleading coach is worth an hour of show you don't like. Honestly, she is.
Thursday
30 Rock - I don't think I need to convince anyone. Workin' on my night cheese!
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - I have gone from listening to Leann and Haley watch this show while I wrote papers and chatted with my friends to catching up on all the seasons in a matter of days. And deciding who, in all my groups of friends, was The Brain, The Looks, and the Wild Card.
Friday
Dollhouse - Looks like we're doing the Friday night not-party-but-watch-TV-and-start-playing-awkwardly-late-while-praying-for-the-show-not-to-be-canceled thing again. Thanks Fox. We really owe you one. That and lusting after now-scarred Victor. Oh Joss Whedon. You really GET my weakness for guys with scars.
And that's that! We're grossly obsessed! And will all end up looking liiiiiiike:
What about Chuck? I really hate that Chuck is a one hour show, because I have to choose between Chuck and HIMYM and who can say no to the ADORABLENESS of Marshall and Lily or BOBIN?! And Glee is such a funny show, I'm excited for it!
ReplyDeleteoh damn i forgot chuck. but i never really watched it. i think i may prefer how i met your mother. and i'm assuming schoolwork should happen somewhere in the week. whatever.
ReplyDeleteLOL, yeah, I guess if we have to we should make time for dumb school around our massive TV schedule... but what can I say, I love TV. Could we also make time to watch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report at some points during the week? :)
ReplyDeleteand I agree, Glee has so much potential!
okay the video is broken and i DON'T KNOW HOW TO EDIT!. so sad.
